Term two has gotten off to an exciting start here at Phoenix P-12 Community College. Stage 1 of the Building Program is complete with two new Learning Villages and the Science Centre opened for use by students.
Now for Stage 2! It’s all happening. Work has began that will see partial demolition of three old teaching wings (known as G, I and J corridors), ready for a further two Learning / Community Villages to be built and opened early next year. This $8 million of capital works will also see three major car parks developed across the Sebastopol site (BSC Hub car park, a Spencer Street large staff / delivery entrance and car park and a Hertford Street front entrance and car park). As well as this, the Community Challenge learning space next to the current Learning Library Resource Centre will be upgraded to form part of the proposed Year 5 and 6 Learning Village (anticipated to be part of Stage 3 works).
