Phoenix P-12 Community College has many links with the global community. Regular international exchanges are undertaken for the students and staff.
The College has been a participant in the World Challenge for many years, enabling students to experience learning in destinations as diverse as Vietnam and Nepal. The F1 in Schools Program provides an international stage for students to showcase their technical racing prowess. The College is developing ongoing links with schools in China to support our students in the LOTE studies.
Victorian Young Leaders to China Program: Students in Year 9, who are undertaking studies in Chinese, have the opportunity to take part in a six-week trip to China. They spend time at Beijing University and then travel to a host school in either Nanjing or Shanghai, where they are immersed in the day-to-day life of a Chinese student living in a boarding school. This initiative is supported and heavily subsidised by the Victorian Education Department and China’s Hanban – an executive branch of the Chinese Education Department.
Phoenix College regularly welcomes teachers and students from other countries. We have recently hosted teachers and students from China and Korea.
