Our sports program’s purpose is to give all students the opportunity to participate and excel in a wide range of inter-school sporting competitions at both a school level, regional level and state/national level.

Eureka and Greater Western Region Divisions of School Sport Victoria (GWRSSV)

Through their interschool sport program, in partnership with State Sporting Associations, GWRSSV provide opportunities for students to represent their school across a wide range of individual and team sports.

Phoenix competes in the following sports at the Eureka level:

  • Cricket

  • Basketball
  • AFL
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Futsal
  • Rowing
  • Athletics
  • Swimming
  • Cross Country

Ballarat Associated Schools (BAS)

The Ballarat Associated Schools (BAS) purpose is to provide structured competition for the member schools to maximise the opportunities for students to participate in organised sport. The BAS competition is played against all Ballarat secondary schools.

The following sports are currently offered:

  • Rowing
  • AFL (Years 9-12)
  • Soccer (Years 8-10)
  • Netball (Years 9-10)
  • Basketball (Years 9-10)
