On Thursday 19th September, 27 Student Representatives from Years 5-10 took part in a Student Voice Day. They participated in workshops about effective communication and working in a team facilitated by Leading Senior Constable Des Hudson and myself. These skills were then used to identify something at Phoenix P-12 Community College that could be made from good to great and plan how to make it happen. The projects fit into the following categories:

  • School Culture
  • Environment (facilities, resources etc.)
  • Wellbeing
  • Learning

It was fantastic to see the students working to make our school a great place. Thank you to Leading Senior Constable Des Hudson for giving up his time on the day. The student representatives always benefit from having Des join them and this time was no exception.

We will hold another Student Voice Day in Term 4 to do the projects. Stay tuned to hear all about it!
